The products are complex, made up of multiple sub-assemblies, so you won’t be doing the same task day-in and day-out, keep it varied and interesting.
The Assembly Technician will be part of a small team of skilled people. You will be responsible for the following:
• Building assemblies, sub-assemblies and complete systems to engineering drawings.
• Operating in a low-volume, high-value environment where it will typically take 2-3 weeks to build 1 full system.
• Electrical wiring on control boxes and racking systems.
• Mechanical assembly of frames, and cabinets as well as some more intricate assembly work.
• Pre-testing some assemblies before sending complete products through to the test department.
The Candidate: Electro-mechanical Production Technician
The successful candidate will consider themselves to have experience in an electrical or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment, and will also:
• Have experience with electro-mechanical equipment build.
• Experience with wiring looms and wiring control units.
• Good mechanical assembly experience, from intricate work up to large-scale frame build.
• Be organised and disciplined, ensuring no shortcuts are taken to ensure product quality.
